I had intended to submit to the 2011 Usability Professionals Association conference since the conference will be in Atlanta. However, tenure and teaching did not provide the time this summer to submit a proposal. So, I was delighted to see that there is a second call for posters and idea markets. I have copied the email I received below. The new deadline is January 17th! Let me know if you submit!

The UPA email:

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the second call for proposals for Idea Market & Poster sessions for the UPA 2011 International Conference, “Designing for Social Change”. This 20th anniversary celebration event will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, June 21 – 24, 2011 at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta Hotel.

Did you miss the first round of UPA2011 submissions, or want to resubmit a proposal as an Idea Market or Poster session?
Here’s your opportunity!

Idea Markets: As an Idea Market “activator” you will facilitate and lead in-depth discussions with your peers about a Big Question you have.

Posters: Posters provide an opportunity to present late-breaking results, new ideas or concepts in an informal, visual and interactive manner.
