Do you teach K-12 and use technology? Could you use $500? If so, this grant may be for you.

Heinemann Publishers are offering $500 Microgrants for Teachers who use technology in the classroom. Technology is broadly defined as (quoting them)

* Digital devices (whiteboards, handheld computers/PDAs, video/audio recorders, etc…)
* Websites and/or internet-based products or services
* Desktop/laptop computer hardware or software
* Other technology-based tools and devices

Voting is “peer voting” through the Heinemann websites; so if you apply, let me know and I’ll vote for you. The deadline is November 10th and voting goes form November 11th to December 11th.

Even if you do not tech, you may want to check out some of the applications. May of these look like great projects. Good luck, everyone!
